Secluded & Relaxing
We have carefully selected the cabin location so that our guests would feel secluded, enjoy the tranquil surroundings and be able to experience a different countryside view from each cabin window.
To the east, framed by the large glass French doors, you can see Cwm Whitton Hill and beyond that Llan-Wen Hill and balanced right on the top of the opposite valley is Offa’s Dyke. From the bedroom window, perhaps whilst enjoying a cuppa from your bed, enjoy view to the south west over Quabbs Meadow, where sometimes one of our pedigree flocks will be grazing. In the distance you can spot the hazy blue/green of the Radnor Forest and watch the sunset from the porch over Rhos Hill, Graig Hill and Black Hill. Move around the porch to welcome the day with the sunrise or bid farewell with the sunset.
Powys, mid-Wales - an unspoilt gem to explore
Powys offers a myriad of different things for you to do, but you will rarely be met with crowds. Mid-Wales remains largely free from tourism and unexplored towns and villages are there to be experienced.
Walk a section of Offa’s Dyke right from the end of the lane or join further up on the hill. Swim the beautiful The River Lugg at Dolley Green just a couple of miles away or visit Lugg meadows in Leintwardine where two rivers meet (there’s also a fabulous pub adjacent to the river for refreshments after your swim).
If you’re into history, there are plenty of ancient battlegrounds which tell the stories of the Welsh / English border conflicts of old. Maybe you fancy a mooch around the foodie capital of Ludlow with its traditional markets, slow food status, independent shops and medieval castle.
There is so much to do!
