The Cabin

Welsh air & rolling hills

Cabin coming really soon

We have carefully selected the cabin location so that our guests would feel secluded, enjoy the tranquil surroundings and be able to experience a different countryside view from each cabin window. To the east, framed by the large glass French doors, you can see Cwm Whitton Hill and beyond that Llan-Wen Hill and balanced right on the top of the opposite valley is Offa’s Dyke. From the bedroom window, perhaps whilst enjoying a cuppa from your bed, enjoy view to the south west over Quabbs Meadow, where sometimes one of our pedigree flocks will be grazing.

Immersed in the countryside

In the distance you can spot the hazy blue/green of the Radnor Forest and watch the sunset from the porch over Rhos Hill, Graig Hill and Black Hill. From the bathroom and kitchen windows, looking north you can sometimes spot our two horses Ruby our elderly Irish cob and Pumpkin our registered shire mare. After all, Rhos Y Meirch does translate as ‘Moor of the Horses’ The wraparound porch allows uninterrupted views over the countryside and the views mentioned above.

Our Vision

Whilst rustic, the attention to detail inside has been thought-out and carefully hand-crafted with guest comfort and experience in mind. Park your car and make your way up the path, onto the porch and to your own little secret spot. Walk in and be met by the softly-lit vaulted ceiling and the huge bespoke beams. Snuggle down in front of the log burner on soft sofas, comfy chairs right down to throws, cushions and blankets and in the cosy bedroom, a King-size bed with sumptuous bedding. Cook yourself dinner in the fully equipped kitchen. Soak in the free-standing roll top bath and wrap up in the fluffy towels provided before slipping on one of our soft cabin robes. Enjoy the complimentary toiletries, often hand-made by Steph. We have tried to include all of the little extras which will enhance your stay.

When designing Quabbs Cabin, our aim was to create a calm and welcoming space in which our guests would find it impossible not to slow down, relax and unwind. We think we have achieved this perfect balance between stylish and quirky décor and traditional comfort and cosiness. Quabbs offers a romantic bolt-hole for two – you won’t want to leave. We have carefully selected the cabin location so that our guests would feel secluded, enjoy the tranquil surroundings and be able to experience a different countryside view from each cabin window.
